Step-by-Step: How to Place a Manual Order with CustomCat

 

Need to place a manual order through CustomCat? Whether the product is already in your store or not, you’ve got two easy options. Follow the guide below to complete your order quickly and accurately.


Option 1: Place an Order for a Product Not Yet Exported to Your Store


1. Log In


2. Start Your Order

  • From the left navigation menu, click “Order Now”,
    or use the “Place Order” button in the quick links section of your dashboard.


3. Select a Store

  • Choose the store from the dropdown menu.

⚠️ Note: If no store is connected, a default “Manual Orders” store will be created.


4. Choose Products

  • Browse the product catalog and select the item(s) you want to order.

  • On the product page:

    • Choose size and color

    • Upload a new design or select one from your Design Library

    • Click Confirm to finalize selections


5. Review Your Cart

  • Double-check product details, quantities, and design placements.

  • Click Next to move to checkout.


6. Checkout

  • Enter the shipping address and payment information

  • Select a shipping method

    Default: Economy (Expedited available for U.S. addresses)

  • Click Place Order to complete the transaction.


7. Order Confirmation

  • You’ll be taken to a confirmation page with your order number.

  • Track the order in the Orders section of your CustomCat account.


Option 2: Place an Order for a Product Already Exported to Your Store

Note: This method is only available for select integrations using the “My Products” feature.


1. Access My Products

  • Click “My Products” from the left navigation menu.

🔄 If you recently updated your store, click Refresh at the top of the list.


2. Create an Order

  • Locate the product you want.

  • Click the three-dot menu next to it and select “Create an Order.”


3. Select Variant

  • Choose the appropriate size and color

  • Click the green “Create an Order” button


4. Checkout

  • Review order details

  • Enter the shipping address (payment method is pre-saved)

  • Click Place Order to complete


Tracking Your Order

  • Track manual orders inside your Orders dashboard

⚠️ Manual orders do not sync tracking info back to your eCommerce platform.
