Current Status of the CustomCat TikTok Shop Integration

CustomCat is actively developing a direct TikTok Shop integration, which is currently:

  • Available only to Beta users

  • Temporarily impacted by a TikTok policy change

Why the Beta Integration Is Currently Limited

TikTok recently updated its fulfillment requirements:

  • TikTok Shipping is now required 

  • Seller Shipping is no longer sufficient 

Our original TikTok Shop app was built using Seller Shipping, which means:

  • Shipping confirmations may fail

  • Tracking updates may not be accepted by TikTok

🚧 As a result, the Beta integration is not recommended for live production use at this time unless explicitly approved by the CustomCat team.

Supported Way to Fulfill TikTok Shop Orders Today (Recommended)

While the native integration is being updated, many CustomCat customers are already fulfilling TikTok Shop orders successfully using one of the following supported workflows:

✅ TikTok Shipping + CustomCat API (via Order Desk or Custom Integration)

This is the recommended and production‑ready approach.

How it works:

  1. TikTok Shop generates the order using TikTok Shipping and the shipping label is purchased from TikTok.

  2. The order and TikTok shipping label is routed through:

    • Order Desk or

    • A custom middleware / direct CustomCat API connection

  3. The order and shipping label is submitted to CustomCat via the CustomCat API

  4. CustomCat:

    • Produces the item

    • Ships the order

  5. Tracking is automatically updated in TikTok Shop using the original label purchased via TikTok Shipping

This flow is already live for multiple merchants and fully compatible with TikTok’s current policies.

Using Order Desk with TikTok Shop + CustomCat

If you are using Order Desk, this is the most common setup we see today.

  • TikTok Shop → Order Desk

  • Order Desk → CustomCat (via API) 

Benefits of Using Order Desk

  • No custom code required

  • Flexible routing and rules

  • Works with TikTok Shipping

  • Supports retries, exceptions, and order rules

Using the CustomCat API Directly (Advanced Users)

  • Pull orders and shipping labels directly from TikTok Shop
