These profiles include all the details Etsy requires to show accurate delivery estimates to your buyers, such as the country of origin, processing time, and estimated delivery windows.
This process ensures you’re charging the correct shipping fees while meeting Etsy’s requirements for displaying shipping timelines.
How CustomCat Handles Etsy Shipping Profiles

Every time you publish a product from CustomCat to Etsy, a new shipping profile is generated for that listing.

The profile automatically includes:

Country of origin (United States)

Processing time (based on CustomCat’s fulfillment speed)

Estimated delivery times (domestic and international, when applicable)

Shipping cost (calculated from CustomCat’s shipping rates)

Understanding How Shipping Charges Are Calculated
CustomCat uses the same shipping calculation logic as Etsy. Etsy calculates customer shipping using this method:

The most expensive item’s shipping rate is charged as the “first item.”

All other items in the same order use the “additional item” rate from your Etsy shipping profile.

Editing a CustomCat Shipping Profile
If you need to adjust shipping details:

Log in to your Etsy Shop Manager.

Locate the profile created for your CustomCat listing.

Click Edit.

Update fields like international shipping rates, processing time, or delivery services.

Creating Your Own Shipping Profile (Optional)
If you prefer to manage fewer profiles:

Create a new shipping profile in Etsy for a specific product type (e.g., all apparel or all mugs).

Use CustomCat’s shipping rate table above to set accurate rates.

Assign that profile to multiple listings manually in Etsy.

If you edit an automatically created profile and later republish the product from CustomCat, the profile may be replaced or updated.
