How to Update Your Shopify Permissions with CustomCat
If you're seeing a message that says, "It looks like we need to update your Shopify permissions," it means your Shopify integration with CustomCat needs to be reauthorized. This ensures seamless syncing of product listings and orders between CustomCat and your Shopify store. Follow the steps below to check your connection status and update your permissions if needed.
Step-by-Step Instructions:

Log in to Your CustomCat Account
Go to app.customcat.com and log in with your credentials. -
Navigate to Product Creation
From the left-hand sidebar, click the green T-Shirt icon to go to "Create Products." -
Select "Create Product" > Choose Your Store
Once you’re in the Product Creation section, click "Create Product" and select your connected Shopify store from the dropdown. -
Permission Prompt
If your permissions need to be updated, you'll see a message like this:
"It looks like we need to update your Shopify permissions."You may be automatically redirected to Shopify. If not, click the "click here" link in the message to manually launch the update.

Follow the Shopify Prompt
Shopify will prompt you to approve the required permissions. Review and click "Update App" to complete the process. -
Return to CustomCat
Once permissions are updated, you’ll be returned to the CustomCat platform and can continue creating products normally.
