Integrating Order Desk with CustomCat gives you a powerful way to automate and streamline your print-on-demand fulfillment workflow across 300+ third-party services and sales channels. If you're running a multi-platform business or CustomCat doesn’t support the sales channel you need, using Order Desk + CustomCat is a smart move.

🚀 What You Can Do with Order Desk + CustomCat

1. Automatically Send Orders to CustomCat

Orders can be automatically submitted to CustomCat as soon as they are placed or imported into Order Desk — no manual entry needed.

2. Route Orders from Multiple Sales Channels

Order Desk supports major platforms like:

  • Shopify

  • Etsy

  • Amazon

  • WooCommerce

  • BigCommerce

  • TikTok Shop

  • eBay

Once integrated, these platforms can auto-route orders to CustomCat.

3. Auto-Sync Tracking Info

CustomCat sends tracking data back to Order Desk once the order ships.
Order Desk then updates the originating platform automatically.

4. Map Products by SKU or Metadata

You can match your CustomCat products in Order Desk using:

  • SKUs

  • Print file metadata

Follow these steps to connect your Order Desk account to CustomCat via API:

🔧 Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log into Order Desk

Visit Order Desk and log in.

2. Enable the CustomCat Integration

Go to Manage Integrations → Select the Print on Demand tab → Enable CustomCat.

Note: Keep your Store ID handy for support purposes.

3. Enter Your CustomCat API Credentials

  • Login to your CustomCat account

  • Go to Connect Store → Select Create API Order

  • Enter Store Name & URL → Click Connect

Get your API keys from Settings > Store > API:

  • Copy the read-write key

  • Paste into the CustomCat integration page in Order Desk

  • Click Connect

4. Configure Integration Settings

Key Settings:

  • Order Submission Mode: Use Sandbox to test, then switch to Production for real orders.

  • Default Mail Class: Choose fallback shipping method.

  • Shipping Class Match: Set up Shipping Class Match rules.

  • Folders After Import / Shipment: Define how orders are moved post-submission or shipment.

  • Embedded Image DPI: Enable to use original DPI (especially for DIGISOFT products).

  • Default Return Address: Set a global return address or use rules for custom ones.

Step-by-Step:

  1. Go to Inventory Items → Click Add New Item

  2. Configure fields correctly for CustomCat compatibility:

Field Description
print_sku (Required) Use Catalog_sku (preferred) or Product_Id
color Required if using Product_Id
size Required if using Product_Id
print_url (Required) Direct artwork link
print_url_2 Optional back print
preset_id Optional preset ID for design alignment

  • From the CustomCat App → Create Product → Advanced Tools

  • Or from the Available Products link in Order Desk’s CustomCat integration panel

🛠 Troubleshooting & Tips

Issue Solution
Orders not sending Check API credentials (Read-Write key must match)
Tracking not syncing Confirm tracking sync is enabled
"Order Could Not Be Submitted" Error

Avoid submitting duplicate Order Numbers. 

Use the correct Catalog_SKU without color/size variations
