Bulk Product Creation Tutorial in CustomCat
Save time and streamline your workflow by creating and exporting product listings in bulk. The Bulk Product Creation tool in CustomCat allows you to upload designs, apply presets, group products, and more—all in a few clicks.
1. Open the Bulk Product Creation Tool

Log in to your CustomCat account.

Click “Create Product” from the left navigation.

Select “Use Advanced Tools.”

Choose “Bulk Product Creation.”

Select the store where you want to export products.
2. Choose Blank Products
-
Browse the catalog and select the blank products you want to publish (e.g., 11 oz Mug, 15 oz Mug).

Click “Next Step” to continue.
3. Perform Bulk Actions
Use the checkboxes in the top-right of each product tile to apply bulk actions. Available options include:
✅ Upload or Select Designs

Upload multiple design files or select from your Design Library.

You can return to the Design Library anytime to add more.
⚠️ If you’re applying designs to multiple instances of the same product (e.g., two 11 oz mugs), you’ll be prompted:

YES = Create separate listings for each design
-
NO = Create only one listing per product/design combo
🔁 Tip: Choose NO in most cases to avoid unnecessary duplicates.
🧭 Set Position Presets

Define where your designs will appear on each product.
Pro Tip: Adjust trim settings in your Design Library to control default placement.
🗑️ Remove Products

Use the bulk delete tool to remove products from the selection.

You can also remove all products linked to a design by clicking the X next to the design name in the Active Designs panel.
➕ Duplicate Products

Create copies of selected products for variations or split testing.
🧩 Group Products
-
Combine multiple items into a single grouped listing.
You can also do this on the Export page.
⭐ Save as Template

Click the star icon on any product to save it as a reusable export template.

✏️ Edit Product Details
Click any product tile to open the Product Detail editor, where you can modify:

Product Colors
-
Title
-
Description
-
Tags
-
Variant Pricing
⚠️ Note: Bulk Product Creation does not support individual design placement adjustments or front + back placement. For precise edits, use Create Single Listing instead.
Once everything looks good, click “Next Step.”
4. Export Your Products
📋 Review Your Work

Review product info and double-check all selections.

Click the gear icon to update export settings (if needed).
🚀 Export Options

Click “Export All” to publish everything at once
OR -
Click “Export” next to a specific product to export it individually.
✅ Once export is complete, you’ll see a “Success!” message.
5. View Your Products

Click “View in Store” to see your products live on your eCommerce platform.

Or click “View in CustomCat” to edit them in the My Products dashboard.
