Step-by-Step: How to Sync Existing Product Listings to CustomCat
If you’ve already created product listings in your eCommerce platform, you can sync them to CustomCat without rebuilding them from scratch. This tutorial walks you through syncing existing listings and mapping them to CustomCat variants for fulfillment.
1. Access Your Products

Log in to your CustomCat account.

Click “My Products” in the left navigation menu.

Select the store you want to sync from the dropdown.
⚠️ Note: Page load time may vary depending on how many products are listed in your store.
2. View Unsynced Products

Click the “Not Synced” tab to view listings that haven’t been synced to CustomCat.
-
These are products created outside of CustomCat, with 0 variants currently mapped.
💡 If recent changes in your store aren’t showing, click “Refresh” to reload your product data.
3. Begin Syncing a Product

Locate the product you want to sync.

Click “Update Fulfillment” or click directly on the product to open it.
-
You’ll now see:

All variants
-
Mockup images
-
Pricing pulled from your store
-
4. Sync a Product Variant
-
Click “Sync” next to the first variant you'd like to connect.

In the top-left, verify:
-
Product title
-
Variant size and color
-
Then:
-
Choose a matching product from the CustomCat catalog.

Select the exact size and color to match your store variant.
-
Click the “Design” tab to:
-
Upload a design
-
Or select one from your Design Library
-
Adjust design positioning as needed
-
Click “Next” to save the changes.
✅ Your variant is now synced to CustomCat for fulfillment.
5. Sync to All Variants (Optional)
To apply the same configuration to all other variants:

Click the three-dot menu below “Re-Sync” on the updated variant
-
Select “Sync to All Variants”
⚠️ This works only if the other variants have a matching size and color.
If there’s no exact match, you’ll see “Sync not completed.”
→ In that case, you’ll need to manually sync those variants one by one.
6. Ignore Specific Variants

To prevent CustomCat from fulfilling specific variants, click “Ignore”

To reverse this action, click “Ignored” again to re-enable fulfillment

Syncing variants does NOT update product details on your eCommerce platform (e.g., title, mockups, or pricing)

This process only affects how the variant is mapped and fulfilled by CustomCat

You’ve now successfully synced an existing product listing to CustomCat. Orders placed through your store for this product will now be routed to CustomCat for fulfillment.
