Step-by-Step: How to Update Your Store Settings in CustomCat

 

Use Store Settings in CustomCat to control individual store configurations—like payment methods, support contact info, shipping labels, and order processing behavior.


1. Access Store Settings

  • Log in to your CustomCat account.

  • Click “Settings” from the left navigation menu
    or use the Quick Links box on your Account Dashboard.


2. Select the Store You Want to Update

You can access store-specific settings two ways:

  • Click the Store tab and choose your store from the dropdown menu.

    OR

  • Go to Store Dashboard, select your store, then click the Settings gear icon on the right side.


3. Store Settings Page Overview

The Store Settings page is divided into three sections: Store, Shipping, and Orders.


🛍️ Store

  • Store Status
    If your status is Inactive, complete your account setup before uploading designs or creating products.

  • Store Information
    Update the support email address—this is used for handling customer support requests.

  • Store Payment
    By default, your Primary Payment Method from Account Settings is used.
    → You can assign a store-specific payment method if needed.

  • Shipping Label Information
    Enter a valid U.S. return address.

    If left blank, CustomCat’s address will be used. Please note:
    Returned packages sent to CustomCat cannot be reshipped.

Don’t forget to click “Update” after making changes.


🚚 Shipping

This section is optional, but it allows you to offer Expedited Shipping methods in your store. 

  • Shipping Setup
    Add expedited shipping profiles that exist in your eCommerce platform:

    • Click Add

    • Enter the exact profile name

    • Choose the CustomCat shipping method (economy or expedited)

⚠️ Important: Profile names must exactly match what’s in your store. If no match is found, the order will default to Economy shipping.

💡 Etsy-Specific Note

  • If you offer expedited shipping:

    • Enable Shipping Upgrades in your Etsy Shop Manager

    • Update your Etsy shipping profiles to include these options

📦 Orders

  • Automatically Process Orders
    By default, orders are processed in batches every 2 hours.

    • To switch to manual processing, select “No” in the dropdown
      → This means you’ll need to manually process orders in the Pending Order Queue.

  • Automatically Process Resolved Stock Errors
    Choose whether orders with out-of-stock items should automatically process when stock is replenished:

    • Select “Yes” or “No” as preferred

⚠️ Note:

  • Orders with address or other non-stock errors will not auto-process, even if fixed.

  • Orders older than 60 days can’t be fulfilled due to data retrieval limits from your store platform.
