What if the marketplace I sell on charges sales tax?

If you sell products purchased from CustomCat on a marketplace (such as Etsy, Amazon, or eBay), that marketplace is responsible for collecting sales tax at the point of sale. Because tax is charged when your customer purchases the item, you may be eligible for tax exemption during your transaction with CustomCat if you submit a Marketplace Facilitator Exemption Certificate within your CustomCat account. **Please note that the state of Hawaii does not accept a Marketplace Facilitator Exemption as a valid certificate of exemption.
